Miss Tourism Ghana celebrates cultural heritage with Regional Costume Night

Delphine Brew-Hammond, Director of Events and Operations for Miss Tourism Ghana, claims that competitors were required to display traditional clothing that represented their individual areas and reflected the rich and varied history of the nation.
“It was very beautiful, fun, and exciting,” In her remarks, Madam Brew-Hammond emphasised that in addition to showcasing Ghanaian culture, the event gave young women the confidence to represent the country’s tourism industry.
On Saturday, August 16, the festivities will continue with a cooking competition at East Legon’s Tourism House, which will also feature the initial eviction round. In order to showcase the gastronomic diversity that characterises Ghana’s cultural identity, contestants will cook regional specialities.

Madam Brew-Hammond urged the public, friends, and family to support their favourite competitors, pointing out that occasions like these boost Ghana’s tourism potential and foster a sense of community pride.
The judges gave one competitor, Monica, the best compliment of the evening. She explained her mission to Nation 1 News: “My goal in Miss Tourism Ghana is to change the narrative because tourism will always boost Ghana’s economy. I urge my supporters to keep believing in me—Monica is not going home.”
